Sarah, a single mother and nurse, works multiple shifts to buy the house she rents as a Christmas gift for her children. Chris, a real estate developer, inherits several rental properties, including Sarah, after his father’s sudden passing.

Electrical issues plague the house, and as Chris comes to help, he’s quickly brought in by her two children to become part of the family. They help him grieve his father’s death, while he helps Sarah find love and stability as his real estate company pressures him to sell the homes.

The family feels betrayed when the company moves to sell their house. But Chris finds a way to prioritize people over property, ensuring Sarah and her kids can keep their home. Meanwhile, Chris finds a family of his own for Christmas.

Chris is a real estate developer with a keen eye and good instincts. Growing up in a small town with a dad who also did well in the business, he was able to learn how to be charismatic with people and show genuine care. As he left home to make a name for himself, he often finds himself at odds with his core desire to take care of people, to make colder/calculated business decisions that often put him and his company in tight spots.

Willy (Male, 12, Ethnicity White - $101.50/12 - $175/12) - Sides

Willy is a smart, observant, logic minded boy who has had to mature a little too fast after his dad passed away. Caring older brother of his sister (April). he tries to be the stay-at-home parent of the family, which often causes him to get in over his head, but his resilience to think through problems helps him get through more than what most people would expect.

April (Female, 8, Ethnicity White - $101.50/12 - $175/12) - Sides

April is an empathetic artist at heart who believes that making things for others is the best way to make them feel better and solve their problems. Since her Dad died while she was young, she has a lot of fears that she tries to hide with her positivity, and always defaults to going to mom if any problems arise.

Jane (Female, 30s, Open Ethnicity - $101.50/12 - $150/12) - Sides

Jane is an introvert who takes a while to warm up to people, but once she does you can always count on her to be there for you. Friends with Chris since the college years, her perception and good work ethic has put her in a place where she’s been able to help him shore up his shortcomings in business and in life.
